“Stevenson Rocks!” FFS FUNdraiser is scheduled for May 7^th

Here is a note about this fun event from one of the FFS Presidents…

“Stevenson Rocks!” is Family For Stevenson's annual fundraiser. Held each spring (May 7th 2010), the event features an impressive silent auction, a live concert, games, food, shopping, and activities for members of the whole family. This year, we're going retro - 50s style and we're even having a car show! The money raised will be used to fund Stevenson's dance program, art program, garden, library, and with the pink slips given to the music and physical education teacher, we could be paying their salaries next year as well! That makes this year's Stevenson Rocks Around The Arts an even more crucial occasion!

Ms. Goulding’s class is responsible for two themed baskets – We are looking for donations to create these baskets. Below are the two themes and some suggestions for donations. Let’s make our baskets the best!

“Shake, Rattle and Roll”

Pickwick, skateboard stuff, In and Out gift certificate,

Ben and Jerries gift certificate…

“All I Have To Do Is Dream”

Spa gift certificate, salon gift certificate (color/cut),

Movies (i.e. Twilight Movies, Blindside),

Twilight book series, candles, bath oils and salts, etc.

All donations are due no later than 4/16 – simply drop them off in the front office and note your room number. If you have any questions please contact me, Wendy, at 818-842-8111

Parents – Please come if you can and help enrich Stevenson Garden…read on…

#1 Green Team Garden News
Please come join us this Sat., April 10th from 9 am - 11 am in the Stevenson Garden for Phase 2 of our Spring Clean-up and Planting. It will be light work, but we could use your help!! You can enter the Stevenson campus from the California Street gate. Bring your work clothes, sunscreen and a hat - we have plenty of gloves. Your kids will have a great time, too, so bring them along!

#2 We are looking for a few volunteers to help us during school hours the week of April 12th.
Miss Ginnetti thinks it is a great idea to let the kids come out to the Garden during the afternoons that week to help us plant. They will be testing in the mornings so the Garden will be welcomed change of pace. Miss G has spoken to the teachers and they have already agreed to help facilitate this plan. So we need to find six or seven willing volunteers to come out to the Garden between 12:30 and 3 pm to help supervise the kids as we plant the remainder of the Garden.
